Here is today's DOXIE TALE! I hope you enjoy it. South Philly KOA Campground. Yowza! What a great time. Did I tell you that my Papa was a West Philadelphia Speed Boy? Been born and raised in the city of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection. Anyway, it was great to meet new friends at the KOA IN SOUTH PHILLY. Here I am with Mama and Auntie Monica and Cousin Bentley. Did you know that my family is huge. I mean HUGE!! Everyone I meet is a LONG LOST COUSIN, A DISTANT AUNT OR UNCLE, OR SOMEONE THAT I DID NOT KNOW I WAS EVEN RELATED TO UNTIL I MET THEM! I LOVE BEING A DOXIE! GUESS WHAT? BENTLEY is going through Socialization School JUST LIKE ME! His Mama, my LONG LOST AUNTIE MONICA calls him a DASHHOUND. That is so cute. Auntie Monica said that they had gotten him in the Pennsylvania Dutch Country here in Pennsylvania only a little bit more than a year ago. Anyway, when Bentley and I first saw each other it was like the KNOCK DOWN AT THE KOA CORRAL!! I mean HIM AND ME we were FLYING AT EACH OTHER. So Mama sat down and she helped Auntie Monica and Bentley and Me all learn to GET IT about each other. And though we are not long lost buddies, we definitely learned a few things WHEN WE WERE TOGETHER. Like, yeah, its okay not to go SCREAMING LIKE A BANSHEE after someone you don't know. A better way to look at it it to realize that sometimes a doxie stranger, is just a friend, or a relative, you haven't met yet. A little side story here. One one of Mama's morning walks at the campground she met Sue and Ollie. Sue said "it was the face that did it". His face was so endearing. She could not resist BRINGING HIM HOME. She eventually ended up with two doxies. WHAT IS IT ABOUT DACHSHUNDS? Anyway, Sue was from Long Island. She said that Ollie was so tenacious that once when they moved, and his crate was not set up yet, they tied him to a 2 by 4 piece of wood in the yard to keep him in one place. They learned quickly, that if he was left alone, that he could be seen, dragging that 2 by 4 half way down the street. FUNNY HUH? ![]() Here is me and Monica and Bentley. You can see Bentley likes to lick a lot also. . Here I am with Uncle Donnie. He told me that Bentley has his own BOOSTER SEAT. And that he loves sitting in his seat AS THEY ARE TRAVELING DOWN THE HIGHWAY LOOKING FOR ADVENTURE!! Uncle Donnie said he and Auntie Monica and little Bentley, LOVED attending THE WIENER DOG RACES down in Savannah Georgia. The things you learn! I LOVED THAT BEING A GEORGIA GIRL MYSELF! We had so much in common. LITTLE DID WE KNOW. Anyway, their Bentley, he can see right outside those front windows OF THAT BIG O'L RV from his BUMPER SEAT. HE LOVES IT!! Donnie and Monica are WORKAMPERS at the KOA that we stayed at. They are originally from Arkansas and have traveled around the whole country. I MEAN THE WHOLE COUNTRY. It is all very cool. The Donnie and Monica Family are learning new things about doxies EVERY SINGLE DAY. We loved being there at the SOUTH PHILLY KOA and are definitely GOING BACK. When we WAVED THEM GOODBY they were in EXPECTATION of their grandson, little Zaydon who was coming to visit, all the way from Savannah Georgia to stay until THANKSGIVING. HELLO LITTLE ZAYDEN!! What FUN that will be! I AM jealous. And so goodbye for today.
I hope you liked my story. Hello to Auntie Monica, Uncle Donnie and cousin Bentley. I hope you have safe travels to your next HOME ON THE ROAD. Keep in touch. Love, DharmaDharmaDoxie
