Chell Sommese was a teacher in New Hampshire for 20 years. Her passion for teaching and being able to connect with children has given her a true purpose in life. In retirement she draws inspiration from her miniature Dachshund, the one and only Dharma Doxie. Dharma's story as told in the sing-along book, "The Adventures of Dharma Doxie," helped Chell continue to connect with children through song.
As "The Adventure of Dharma Doxie" was shared with children at local schools, it turned out that Dharma inspired more than just Chell. The students in the chorus at the Florence Rideout Elementary School in Wilton New Hampshire participated in the recording of the song from the book. In preparation for the recording session, student's came during their recess in addition to the regular scheduled time to practice her song. This meant so much to Chell. She has featured the song on Dharma's website as a way to help others learn Dharma's sing-along.
Chell has been grateful of this wonderful journey to continue teaching and connecting with children by sharing "The Adventure of Dharma Doxie" with students of all ages. If you want to learn more, please use the contact tab to reach out. Chell and Dharma welcome hearing from you!
