Hello Everybody!!

Oh my goodness, the folks came home singing
"Here comes Dharma Doxie!"
Papa says it was so great to see all of the kid's again.
To hear all of the little kids
LEARN THE WORDS TO MY SONG
AND
SING IT LOUD AND CLEAR.

Oh my, oh my, oh my, GO SING IT ON THE MOUNTAIN!!
It was so wild he said to hear children
singing it in the hallway.

Picture
The best part of all of this
is that the Title One People
gifted
EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THE CHILDREN
with a soft cover copy of my book.
For many of them
THIS IS THE VERY FIRST BOOK
THAT IS THEIR VERY OWN.

 THAT ISN'T BAD PARTNER!

Mama signed for me,
EACH AND EVERY BOOK
AND
PUT THE STUDENT'S NAME IN IT.

I WAS SPEECHLESS
WHEN PAPA TOLD ME!

And so my Papa and my Mama got to give a
HUG FROM ME TO
EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM. HOW FUN!
Even little Juan (check out earlier story) came over
and gave my Mama a hug.
I don't mind Juan, I love hugging her myself.

I wish I could have been there but it was just
TOO HOT FOR ME. I was home eating "Frosty Paws", doggie ice cream on the couch
while I was laying underneath the ceiling fan.
NOW THAT IS KEEPING COOL IN THE SUMMERTIME, DON'T YOU THINK?

Hello Everybody!
Say hello to Arden, Rosie and Grace.
On a BEAUTIFUL SUMMER DAY
they came to SUMMER FEST
and dropped by to visit LITTLE OLD ME.
Their grandmother Robin and great grand ma  (they call her Ole Man, funny huh) came out for a beautiful day to STROLL DOWN THE MAIN STREET and check out all of the goodies and GREAT PEOPLE TO VISIT.
Mama says that she has not heard any one called OLD MAN
since she was a teenager during the sixties, and of course
that is what she called her father.
YES THAT WAS DURING THE DINOSAUR AGE.
Each of them even GOT ONE OF MY BOOKS
ALL THEIR VERY OWN.
SO THANK YOU ARDEN, ROSIE AND GRACE FOR COMING BY TO VISIT!

Say hello to Jayne from  the Post Office in Wilton.
The great folks there would often allow students
to do bake sales in front of the P.O.  when Mama
worked in Wilton. Still GREAT FOLKS.
THANK YOU for letting us set up in front of your office.

Hello Everybody.!
Say hello to Leo.

HAVE YOU NOTICED,
HE HAS A
HEART SHAPED NOSE
JUST LIKE ME!!
CHECK IT OUT.

So think about this for a minute.
When a dog is raised in an environment where people
are less than sensitive. Where that dog lives a life in a cage,
and who's only value is how much a person can get for that dog,

WELL THAT IS
VERY SAD INDEED.
DON'T YOU THINK?

So Leo, that is how he started his life. When he moved to his FOREVER HOME he had sores on his feet and a hematoma on one of his ears. His hair was thick and matted and he had to be partially shaved just to get it off.
His back fee face out and he walks like a duck from hip dysplasia.
Of course living in a cage DID NOT HELP. Would you trust humans if this was your life?
I CANNOT IMAGINE. Anyway, Leo went to his forever home. And
GUESS WHAT?

MIRACLE OF MIRACLES.
HE WAS OFFERED LOVE AND TRUST!
AND, HE GAVE IT BACK, HE GAVE IT BACK!
WHOO HOO LEO!

"IT IS ONLY FITTING THAT HE HAS A
HEART SHAPED NOSE AS HE IS 14 POUNDS OF
PURE LOVE"

Picture
Thank you to Mama Kelly and
Papa John for sending along this story about their little
BUNDLE OF LOVE, LEO!
And thank you for giving him his "forever home".

Friend's of Dharma, if you have a good story, send it along.

And thanks for checking in.
Love,

Dharma Dharma

Hello
Friend's of Dharma!
My Mama used to teach a class on Archaeology.
This is when she met Jessie who did an article on her class.
This was years ago when she taught
high school.

Now people that know my Mama know that she loves archaeology.
She has even had the GREAT FUN
to actually

BE A DIGGER,
A LITTLE LIKE ME HUH?

She once dug at
the Bickford Archaeological Site
over near Durham Point in N.H.
and found musket balls.

Another time she was digging in Turkey,
YUP FOLKS,
THAT IS THE COUNTRY NOT THE BIRD,

and dug up a wet stone and a loom weight, made out of ceramic.
Check it out on Google if you do not know what they are.

She was teaching
about an archaeological site
called Catal Huyuk which is in Turkey,
to her students and
what was so VERY COOL is that she got to go there also.
She was teaching about "Pastorialists"
who are nomadic people
who move from place to place with their herd animals.
Her most favorite picture of that trip was the one below.
Mama was on a Mercedes tour bus
on the way to Catal Huyuk
and
was taking pictures out the window
and this lady pastoralist
just waved hello, as she was herding her cattle.
PEOPLE ARE JUST PEOPLE
WHERE EVER YOU GO,
DON'T YOU THINK?

Picture
Check out Jessie's book available on Amazon!

Catal Huyuk Archaeological site.
If you look close you can see the bull horns sticking out of the wall of the house they were excavating. VERY COOL STUFF.
Picture
Modern day pastoralist family. 2012. They live in tarp housing and move their herds of cattle with them as they go.
Picture
Mama invited Jessie over
for she was coming to interview
LITTLE OLD ME.
WHOO HOO!!
So thank you Jessie!
It was great meeting you!

Hello
 FRIEND'S OF DHARMA!
It is funny how some things come around and go around.

So when My Mama was 5.5
her mother, My old Meme,
was a school crossing guard
at this school
which was located on South St.
in Fitchburg, Mass.

My old Meme said that
my Mama was so cute these two brothers would
ask to take her by the hand and take her to class.
Mama was very shy then.
CAN YOU IMAGINE?

Picture
Picture
Mama says
she remembers standing next to this wall.
Funny, the things we remember.

Then we got invited
WHOO HOO
to come and visit at the
South Street Elementary School,
right down the street
to
SHARE WITH THE LITTLE KIDDIES
MY FURTHER ADVENTURES
AND MAMA
SANG THE BOOK.
WHAT FUN!

Picture
Here is Papa with me and Kelly
from the South Street School.
Picture
Me and Kelly together!

So guys we had a wonderful time and got invited to come back for their
LITERACY CAMP later in July. My goodness, how fun!
So many little kiddies came and patted
LITTLE OLD ME.
SWEET AS BEE POLLEN!

So,
A BIG THANK YOU TO KELLY
FOR HAVING US!.

Picture
So
THANK
